AIMS AND SCOPE

Goals of Al-Noor Journal for Humanities (NJH)

Al-Noor Journal for Humanities (NJH) is committed to fostering academic collaboration among researchers in Iraq and internationally, with a special focus on advancing knowledge in Linguistics and Translation Studies, Literature and Cultural Studies, and Education and Pedagogy.

The journal upholds the highest standards of scholarly publishing by promoting integrity, originality, and academic excellence. It aims to contribute to resolving key educational and cultural challenges in the Nineveh Governorate and Iraq at large. NJH further seeks to build bridges between local and international scholars, enhance interdisciplinary dialogue, and promote sustainable citation practices and global scientific engagement.


SCOPE

Al-Noor Journal for Humanities (NJH) publishes original research articles and review papers in the following fields:

  • Linguistics and Translation Studies – including theoretical and applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, translation theory, and translator training.

  • Literature and Cultural Studies – encompassing Arabic and world literature, comparative literature, literary criticism, folklore, and interdisciplinary cultural analysis.

  • Education and Pedagogy – focusing on curriculum design, teaching methodologies, educational psychology, assessment, and teacher professional development.

As an open-access and free-of-charge journal, NJH ensures that high-quality research is accessible to scholars, educators, and practitioners worldwide. The journal serves as a platform for critical thought and scholarly communication that supports academic growth and cultural development in the region and beyond.
